Consultancy and Design

First and foremost Intellihome Solutions provides measured advice on choosing the right level of home automation, security and whole-house audio-visual solutions to suit your needs and your budget. We are not a specialist in high-end home cinema, although we are happy to work with other installers and integrate our own solutions with theirs for a totally seamless experience.

We pride ourselves in making sure that the proposed solutions are carefully considered and planned in meticulous detail to ensure the results meet or preferably exceed your expectations. Your personal consultant will work with you all the way through the project from inception to delivery. We can offer overall project management if required, or work alongside your existing project manager.

Installation Services

Wiring

Recognising that most people have their own preferred tradespeople, we are normally happy to work alongside them during the installation phase, or we can arrange an electrician if you prefer. We pre-build all the control panels, and write the custom programs for automation systems and remote controls in advance, so that the installation time on-site is minimised.

Shutters

We install, commission and connect security shutters to your home, subject to a site survey. Should any preparatory work be required prior to installation (to ensure a suitable surface for fixing, for example) this will be notified to you at the consultation stage. Any such remedial work is your responsibility to carry out.

Audio-Visual

We can supply and, in most cases, install purpose-designed cabinets to house remotely-located equipment. We normally work alongside your existing builder or fitter when it comes to installing in-wall or ceiling-mounted loudspeakers; they know how to cut holes better than we do, and we write better software programs!

Our End-to-End Process

Following your initial enquiry, our first consultation is free of charge, and normally lasts around an hour to an hour and a half. This is normally sufficient for the consultant to identify your ideas and aspirations, and to discuss the various possibilities with you. Normally this will be done at your home.

Once we've whetted your appetite, the next consultation lasts much longer, up to 4 hours (this may be split into multiple sessions if required). During this process we will map out, in detail, how the proposed solution will work, and draw up the plans and costing. This consultation is chargeable.

Should you decide to go ahead with the proposal (and we're sure you will!), a deposit is required. The fee for the consultation is deducted from this, so ultimately you only pay for the products and the installation. We will agree the process (it may be phased, depending on the size and complexity of the project) and confirm the installation dates with you.

After installation and testing, we normally follow up with one or two further visits to confirm the system is still operating correctly, and to make any minor alterations that you may need. We are always on hand to answer any queries you may have, and our support team are available by telephone and email in between times.

Once you are happy with the result, we'll leave you to enjoy your new system... and show off to your friends and family! We value your recommendations highly, and offer discounts on future additions or alterations if someone you recommend to us places an order.
